POSITION SUMMARY: As an Insurance Producer your primary responsibility would be to sell insurance policies, write insurance proposals, and use sales techniques to gain and maintain insurance clients. It is also important that you display strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to interact in a knowledgeable and professional manner with clients and our own sales and other internal departments.  This position would require you to obtain or be licensed in property, casualty, and crop insurance lines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Use various networking techniques to increase clientele such as cold calling and sending out mailers.
  • Write insurance proposals and quotes showing comprehensive insurance coverage breakdowns.
  • Help clients with policy changes such as additions or deletions, process payments and explain billings in a professional manner.
  • Create new insurance policies for clients, collecting all necessary information and filling out all the required forms.
  • Review current policies and identify specific products and solutions for each client.
  • Keep up with CEU hours and licenses in a timely manner.
  • Assess risks that may increase premiums.
  • Perform various clerical tasks in the office that include answering phones, copying forms and typing documents.

  • Will have extensive contact with the public and conduct relationships in a manner that will enhance the overall professional image and marketing efforts of the agency.
  • Participate in outside civic activities that enhance the agency and personal growth.
  • Respect the ability to handle confidential information according to the compliance regulations and integrity of the agency and its clients.
