Position Title:  Regional President (North Locations)

Reports To:  Chief Executive Officer

Classification:  Full Time/Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY:  Regional Presidents provide leadership for each branch location they oversee, work with each branch to drive loan and deposit growth, help coach new lenders, and implement changes. Is responsible for leading a team-oriented and customer focused team to ensure production meets established objectives and assuring the loan and deposit portfolio meets quality standards and compliance guidelines.  In conjunction with each branch they, alongside the appropriate branch officers, will also aggressively call on potential and existing clients to develop full, long-term relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEssential duties and responsibilities are intended to describe those functions that are essential to the performance of this position.

  • Responsible for high market visibility, represent the bank in conducting active prospects and customer business development activities designed to generate desirable new loans, deposits, affiliate referrals, and related business.
  • Monitor customer relationships reports to ensure that customers brought into bank are core customers invested in multiple relationships.
  • Responsible for the direct leadership and management of each branch leader under direct supervision to ensure satisfactory performance, adequate training, promotional and development opportunities and fair compensation in accordance with Bank policies.
  • Participate in setting bank wide goals within the strategic goals of the bank, and communicating those goals, along with company performance results, to branches under direct supervision.
  • Conducts meetings and high-level communication with direct reports at least monthly to ensure procedural/product changes, resolve issues to optimize branch performance and employee engagement. Establish regular coaching opportunities with each team member to review goals and highlight further personal development.
  • Required to be present within each assigned branch, a minimum of once a month. Additional visits may be necessary as needed.
  • Ensures that each branches’ department runs efficiently in relation to work schedules and staffing continuity.
  • Promotes a sales culture and works closely with the L&D Officer to ensure that the staff receives proper Integrity Selling training techniques to sell and cross-sell products and services that meet individual customer needs.
  • Assists HR and branches in conducting performance evaluations, providing recommendations, and initiating hiring, discipline, and promotion or termination of staff. Identifies and nurtures the development of talent to aide in career growth and succession planning.
  • Be alert for and refer any potential new business or opportunities to the banking, wealth management, trust, insurance or real estate departments.
  • Support the branch personnel in representing the bank in community activities under direct supervision.
  • Understand and stay informed on key industry related issues and regulations.
  • Provide input to senior management for any improvements or efficiencies for the benefit of the customer and financial institution.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of banking sales and customer service experience preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of multi-branch, management experience preferred but not required.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to grasp concepts and processes and to partner with and influence others.
  • Able to handle most problems/exceptions in an independent manner.
  • Strong understanding of customer, product and branch profitability.
